Sophia West, SW. Storytelling, live performances from musicians and nature move me to create immersive art and video creation. Lasers onto trees, visuals to harmonise with music and story, operating both live to add spectacle to a show.

Nature, words and rhythm are my biggest drives, I use all of my surrounding areas from the big sycamore trees from my local walks, from the ferns and running water of the Garlic Woods in Lennoxtown; my home.

Examples of my tools: scattered laser beams portraying a fairytale, projection onto a tree trunk to symbolise chaos and lasers moving thru grass because it looks like the music I heard.

Laser beams are an extension of my body, I use dance and movement as a tool for creation thus bringing a form synthesia to the installation or musical performance.
